Cobloc

Cobloc

Cobloc a Paris-based architecture and design studio, was founded by Clarisse Krause and Ola Faladé in 2014. They needed a logo for their new business, I conceptualized a distinctive design with a very characteristic logo that returns immediately the idea of space corresponding their spatial vision. Today, the studio has expanded its operations to Benin, yet remarkably, they continues to employ this logo, underscoring its enduring appeal and efficacy.

I meticulously curated the brand colors, drawing inspiration from the duality of human identities, symbolized by the contrasting attributes of masculinity and femininity, and tying them to the essence of the city. The result is a sophisticated blend that exudes authority while retaining a playful essence.

The logotype seamlessly integrates shapes and letters. Comprising lines and circles, these shapes cleverly evoke the essence of the word 'Cobloc,' arranged to create the illusion of a rectangular space enclosing the company name. To complement this design, I opted for a geometric typeface that harmonizes with the logo's shapes.

This versatile logo encourages playfulness, allowing for extension, disassembly, and rearrangement of the shapes to yield diverse compositions. This flexibility accommodates future expansions into various business sectors such as Cobloc Design, Cobloc Urbanism, Cobloc Lab, and more.
